Montana, you are breathtaking. Big Sky doesn’t do you justice. Mere words fail to capture your beauty. If only I could write the overwhelming feeling in my heart. Seven days won’t be enough, but I’ll soak in every second as if it were the last.
Due to our arrival time, we only hiked one trail today: Apgar Lookout Trail (3.6 miles one way). The sun was quickly disappearing over the mountainside, so we turned back before we could finish the trail, but didn’t matter. The view was still spectacular.
As I hiked and breathed in all that is God, one song echoed in my mind and heart:
You make beautiful things.
You make beautiful things out of the dust.
You make beautiful things.
You make beautiful things out of us.
“He has made everything beautiful in its time.
He has also set eternity in the human heart;
yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
I know that there is nothing better for people
than to be happy and to do good while they live.”
Ecclesiastes 3:11-12
